Our staff are experienced conveyancers led by Barry Sproal, a retired commercial lawyer who was a partner in a leading law firm for 20 years.  Barry has now established his own firm as a licensed conveyancer dealing solely in conveyancing. He is ably assisted by Amy Moloney, Zulena Mallee and Gaylene Gardner.

Barry Sproal

Barry graduated in law at the University of Tasmania and is a qualified commercial lawyer with over 20 years experience. Until recently he was a partner in a leading Launceston law firm.

In 2007 Barry decided to make a break from the traditional legal environment and established his own firm as a licensed conveyancer. With his qualifications and experience Barry is one of the most senior and well-known conveyancers in Tasmania.

Now dealing solely in conveyancing Barry is well qualified to advise on all aspects of buying and selling property in Tasmania.

Zulena Mallee

Zulena worked in a conveyancing company in Perth, Western Australia as a receptionist and in administration for five years.

She then left Western Australia and moved to Launceston.

Zulena worked at a real estate company before commencing as a legal secretary and personal assistant to Barry at his busy law firm.

She remained in that position for three years before leaving in order to join Barry at Sproal & Associates in 2007.

Amy Moloney

Amy was educated in Tasmania but moved to Melbourne in 2002. She worked in the conveyancing section of a law firm in Melbourne for four years before returning to Tasmania. In 2005 Amy commenced employment in a Launceston law firm in which Barry was a partner working as Barry’s conveyancing clerk. She joined Barry at Sproal & Associates in January 2008.

Amy has extensive knowledge of the conveyancing and settlement process in both Victoria and Tasmania. With Tasmania to adopt a conveyancing procedure similar to that operating in Victoria, Amy’s knowledge of that system will be a significant benefit to Sproal & Associates and its clients.

Gaylene Gardner

Gaylene was employed as a finance officer by Westpac Banking Corporation from 1981 until 1996. In 1996 Gaylene left Westpac and commenced working under contract on her own account carrying out all Westpac property settlements in Launceston. She continued in this role until 2008 when she joined Sproal & Associates as a conveyancer and settlement agent.

Gaylene has had twenty-seven years experience working in the property finance industry with extensive experience in assessing finance applications, preparing loan security documentation and attending settlements. She has a thorough understanding of the conveyancing and settlement process.
