Costs/Fees
This is the amount you pay us for our services in acting on your behalf in your property transaction. We provide a friendly and efficient service at a low cost. Our costs are substantially less than the recommended scale of costs used by lawyers. You will find our costs to be very competitive.
Fees and Disbursements
These are amounts paid to the local Council, the Water Authority, the Land Titles Office and other Government organisations for information about the property you are selling or buying.
Fees and disbursements (excluding stamp duty on a purchase) are as follows:
Sale
Add $267.40 for fees and disbursements. This includes a Land Titles Office filing fee of $148.40 on a discharge of mortgage if applicable. If there is no mortgage to discharge then the fees are $119.00.
Purchase
Add $555.04 for fees and disbursements. This includes the Land Titles Office filing fee on the transfer of $183.40. The remaining fees are for Council certificates, Water Authority certificate, land tax search, title search and priority notice. Additional fees may be incurred if further searches or documents (eg Schedule of Easements) are required.
These fees will increase with periodical increases in government charges.
